Job Overview:
We are a leading 3PL logistics company, embarking on an ambitious digital transformation journey under our brand SMILe. Our goal is to revolutionize logistics solutions by ensuring faster, safer, and more efficient services through a diverse range of offerings, including warehousing, 3PL, 4PL, 5PL, and eCommerce logistics. As we expand into the pharmaceutical domain, we are seeking a Strategic Business Head to lead and grow our new pharma vertical. This role will encompass end-to-end ownership of market expansion, P&L management, operations, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical supply chain regulations.
Job Title: Business Head – Pharma Vertical

Reports to: CEO/Managing Director
Department: Pharma Logistics Division
Experience Level: 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Market Expansion:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for the pharma vertical, focusing on the cold chain and other pharmaceutical logistics needs.
- Analyze market trends and customer demands, identifying key growth opportunities within the pharmaceutical logistics space.
- Define and develop product capabilities, ensuring our solutions are aligned with the unique requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, including temperature-sensitive and regulatory-compliant logistics.
- P&L Ownership & Financial Management:
- Own the P&L for the pharma business unit, driving profitability, managing costs, and ensuring revenue growth through effective financial management and operational excellence.
- Continuously monitor inventory, optimize working capital, and ensure no interruption in the supply chain by maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Business Development & Client Relationships:
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key pharmaceutical clients, focusing on national and regional key accounts.
- Drive business development initiatives to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships, ensuring consistent revenue growth and service excellence.
- Leverage Coldverse, our cutting-edge cold chain solution, to offer unparalleled temperature-controlled logistics services to pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors.
- Operations & Supply Chain Optimization:
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory management, warehousing, and transportation processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring full compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Ensure that our Coldverse solutions deliver world-class service in temperature-sensitive logistics, reducing risks and increasing reliability for our pharmaceutical clients.
- People Management & Leadership:
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across sales, operations, technology, and marketing, ensuring they are aligned with the business goals of the pharma vertical.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team, providing coaching and development opportunities for future leaders.
- Partnership & Stakeholder Management:
- Establish strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including CEO, functional leaders, and third-party logistics providers (LSPs), to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Leverage partnerships to improve service delivery, expand market reach, and ensure the success of our logistics solutions tailored to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Customer-Centric & Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage customer insights and data analytics to drive informed decisions that enhance product and service offerings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical logistics, distribution, or supply chain management with P&L responsibilities.
- Extensive experience in inventory management, demand planning, and working capital optimization.
- Proven track record of driving market expansion, business development, and maintaining strategic partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Expertise in managing cold chain logistics for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
